Cornerstone Energy Services successfully designed and engineered a crude oil gathering system in southeast New Mexico capable of transporting 96,000 barrels per day from seven tank batteries to two storage and transport facilities. In total, the team developed civil, mechanical and electrical construction packages for fifty-miles of pipeline, four mainline valve sites, eighteen scraper trap assemblies, five injection pump stations and a 120,000 barrel storage terminal. Cornerstone also provided field survey, pipeline routing, land permitting, construction drawings, as-built documentation, hydrotest procedures, valve placement studies, field engineering, estimating and procurement services for the project.
In 2016, Cornerstone was tasked to completely overhaul the LNG sendout pumps for an LNG facility in Connecticut. Partnering with R.H. White Construction, Cornerstone provided a complete system design from conceptual layout through as-builts. The final product delivered to the client allows them to sendout the full plant capacity with complete redundancy. In addition, the Cornerstone design provides the client with the capability to operate the system with flexibility, improved safety, efficiency, and ease. Throughout construction, Cornerstone provided oversight, purge controlling, commissioning planning and execution, as well as training of the plant’s operators. The project concluded in 2018 and the plant continues to deliver 115 million cubic feet of gas a day to help the distribution system in Connecticut.
In 2017, Cornerstone was tasked to completely overhaul the entire LNG sendout system for an LNG facility located in Fall River, Ma. Early on, Cornerstone assisted the client with feasibility studies and capital estimation for the project as well as other projects on-site. Once underway, Cornerstone provided a complete system redesign from conceptual layout onward. The Cornerstone design touches all parts of the plant; improving the sendout pumps, replacing the vaporizers, while also overhauling the control system and boil off. Partnering with R.H. White Construction, the plant was brought from its original construction into a modern 21st century plant with flexibility, improved safety, efficiency, and ease of operation. Throughout construction, Cornerstone is providing on-site field engineering, purge controlling, commissioning planning and execution, as well as close coordination with the client and operators of the plant. The project is set to conclude in 2018 so the plant can deliver 20 million cubic feet of gas a day to its customers in the southern Massachusetts area.
